Caragh's not feeling well...

Poor Caragh started a fever last night and then the puke bucket came out around 4am. We all lost a couple hours of sound sleep, but it wasn't so bad. She's doing much better now, just needs some extra R&R.
I'm not surprised by her sudden sickness, as my neices and nephew all had a touch of this last week. It goes around and around w/ all these cousins. We do teach them all to share and boy, do they share sicknesses well! I've been reluctantly waiting for this one. The kickoff to the season...

Thought this pic was cute. Reilly let Caragh join her in the good spot on the couch this morning, as long as she didn't get her sick too. Yeah, right! Reilly will have her head in the puke bucket in about 12 hours.

Corn Maze at Marini Farms

These kids have waited ALL YEAR for this corn maze. Every single time we drive by the farm, they both ask the same questions: when's the black cat gonna be there?, where's the corn maze?, when's Fall?, when's September, etc. It goes on and on.
We were FINALLY able to give them what they wanted and they were HAPPY!
They had so much fun today and so did Jay & I. Cass was too cool to join us but we'll get her there. Lord knows we'll be back a few times this Fall.

~Happy Birthday, Happy Birthday~

Happy Birthday Natalie Jean!
Happy Birthday Hillary Joyce!
We love you sooooooo much!
You are 2 very, very special girls! (& ALL girl at that)
TWIN POWER!

2 & Terrible!

Hmmm...what happened to my cute, nice, lastborn baby girl? She was supposed to stay forever sweet. These days, she's nasty, mean, rude and naughty. Forgive me, but it's true. The things that come out of her mouth are shocking..."I don't like you (or whoever), freakin' this, freakin' that, poop face this, poop face that." Who is this child and where does she learn this stuff? ;)
We will continue to love her through this stage in her life, but let's hope she goes through it quickly. Caragh is (was) the sweetest lil' thing, our sweet lil' baby girl. She'll come around.

Outdoor Play w/ the Maxwell Girls

Thanks for coming to play yesterday! We had fun, as always!

~Girls, Girls, Girls~

Today, the girls and I spent the day w/ my brother Dennis' girls (Alana 8, Elise 5 and Mia 1). We went out to lunch, had some playtime at my house, headed to Russell Farm to get some pumpkins & feed the animals and then back to my house for dinner. We had a fun-filled day alright! LOVE YOU GIRLS, LOVE YOU DENNIS & JODI!!! xoxo

Marini Farm

The kids and I went to pick out some pumpkins yesterday. They have looked forward to this for a long time.
When we get a chance, we'll get back to do the corn maze and they can see first-hand how poor Mommy's sense of direction is. Maybe I'll wait until Daddy can come so we make it outta there.

~Sleeping Beauties~

The kids have been sleeping in their own beds the past two nights. (hip-hip-hooray!)
They have appeared in our bed early morning, but I'll take that for now.
This is how I found them this morning (in our bed). It reminded me of myself and my sister(s) as kids~don't know what I'd do w/out the four of them.
Just thought I'd share a cute pic~

Reilly & Caragh

There's just something about freshly bathed kids in jammies that's too cute.

Spent the day w/ Rex & Auntie Katie...

Today was a beautiful Fall-like day. Auntie Katie and cousin Rex came down from NH for a visit. We had lots of fun and the kids had a blast playing outside in this great weather. Reilly and Rex always get along so well. She plays mother hen and shows him what and what NOT to do. She's very cute and gentle w/ him, it's nice to watch. I think she enjoys showing him what NOT to do more though. She loves her cousins and we all enjoy getting together w/ them as much as we can.
My sister, Katie is newly pregnant (hooray!) and feeling pretty green. I feel for her b/c it isn't easy chasing an active 1 and a half year old boy on top of feeling ready to hurl at all times. Hang in there, Katie~it'll pass, it's forgettable and it'll be sooo worth it!
Great day guys! xxoo

From baby to big girl...

Not only did Caragh move into her big girl bed, but she also got a big girl haircut. Yup, all of her baby curls are gone (she needed it) and she looks so grown up now. Daddy wasn't too thrilled but she does look adorable. She's the last of them and even though we can't wait for some freedom back, it's hard to see her change and turn into a little girl like the rest. Well, I guess the rest (aside from Reilly) are women now, not little girls! It goes by quick!

Thank you Auntie Jeannie for the haircut~she looks like her cousins even more now!

Caragh's in a BIG GIRL bed!

Yesterday, Daddy set up the kids' beds. They are very happy in their new room and even slept there last night (yay!). They're pretty far away from our room and we were nervous, but we all did okay and I'm hoping this happens tonight and from now on.
No more monkeys jumping IN our bed!

Great Friends & Family

We had the Greenwoods, the Mastrangelos and the Jeff Coughlin clan over for dinner last night. It felt like old times, before we all became too busy to have these impromptu get-togethers. We really need to make more of an effort to stay in touch better and see these guys more. We realize how important all of them are to us as a family. What a great time, love you all!
